    Manna Meals has been a part of our OLGC parish for decades. We are a small team of parishioners who carpool to Corktown in Detroit every Tuesday from 6-11am to serve a meal and a smile to the locals in need of either. The parishioners in our team fluctuate with the seasons and the years and we welcome newcomers. On an average day we arrive to the St Peters parking lot to find a helpful group of guys waiting to help us carry donuts downstairs to the kitchen and dining room. We then spend the next 45 minutes making sandwiches, while the paid staff gets the soup ready. We staff 3 windows to serve the food, while others are doing dishes, serving coffee, or talking with guests. We clean up and are back at OLGC by about 10:30am.

Weekly choir rehearsal for the Cathedral Choir Academy on the Move. Directed by Dr Cecilia Nam, this choir is open grades 3-12. Choir members will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of concerts and music formation including a variety of local and archdiocesan events, the Michigan Pueri Cantores Festival, and the AOD St Cecilia Music Camp.

$100 materials fee


I am collaborating with Dr. Nam and plan to be on site for rehearsals.

We would like an announcement at the end of the Masses the weekend of the sale in addition to promotions run in the bulletin and on the website in the weeks leading up to the sale. We will bring our own tables and tents, setting up a table outside both the main and side entrances to the church. We will sell popcorn, mum flowers, and candy bars after all the Masses starting with the 4:00PM Saturday vigil. We will need garage storage space for the mum delivery Friday starting at 10:30AM. Pre-ordered mums will be picked up from the garage late morning / early afternoon on Saturday before the church sale begins.
